How to set up an OnlyFans creator account

This guide is for finishing a creator account you can actually run: sign up, clear Creator Verification (including banking and, for U.S. creators, the W-9), set a price, publish a starter library, then promote. It follows OnlyFans’ Creator Center and Terms. Under the Terms, OnlyFans keeps 20% of each fan payment.

Button labels in Settings change. Use the sequence below; match names to what you see in-product. Exact screen order can vary—complete every required field before you submit for approval.

If you are ready to start: Visit OnlyFans

OnlyFans is for adults 18+ (Creator Center). Have ready:

A government-issued photo ID and a way to take a clear selfie while holding that ID.
An email you control (prefer a dedicated creator address—safety).
Your actual country of residence, mailing address and identity details as you will enter them.
Bank (or other payout) details in your legal name.
If you are a U.S. creator, the information needed to complete a W-9.
A draft display name and one sentence on what this account’s offer includes.
Social account handles if you plan to list them when asked.

You can use a stage name publicly. Legal identity is still required for creator approval. Faceless publishing is a separate choice—see staying anonymous.

Create the account and become a creator

Creator Center’s approval materials include: full legal name, verified email, mailing address, date of birth, government photo ID, a selfie holding that ID, social media handles, bank account details, and—for U.S. creators—a W-9 (Creator Center; Privacy Policy). U.S. creators must complete that W-9 requirement as part of approval.

Work through the in-product flow until everything required is done, then submit. A typical path looks like this (steps may appear in a different order on your screen):

Create an OnlyFans account and verify email if prompted.
Open Become a creator under profile settings and select your actual country of residence.
Complete the form with accurate identity information. Creator Center says to use the information that appears on your official ID for those fields—enter what the form asks for truthfully. Provide your actual country of residence. Do not invent a residence country just to line up with nationality or with an address printed on the ID unless the form itself requires that.
Upload ID: one clear photo of the ID, and one of you holding it.
Provide bank account details and, if you are a U.S. creator, complete the W-9, along with any other listed approval fields (for example social handles), before you send the application for approval.
Submit and wait for approval. Plan days, not minutes, before a launch promo.

Creator Center also notes ongoing selfie checks. Treat unexpected “verify now” emails carefully—use in-app settings or known help URLs (safety).

Collaborators: tagging another verified OnlyFans creator is the simpler path when you work together often. If someone else appears and is not already a verified creator, Creator Center describes a verification-link flow before that post can go live. Separately, OnlyFans’ Terms still require the age/identity proof and written publication consent rules for Co-Authored Content—even when that person’s face is hidden (Terms).

Banking, tax and when you can withdraw

After you are approved and start earning, money moves through balances before it reaches you (Creator Center):

New earnings enter a pending balance first. Creator Center’s example: a tip on June 1 is held until at least June 8 before it can enter the current balance.
After pending clears, funds sit in the current balance.
From there, request a payout (or use automatic withdrawals if you enable them).
Creator Center states that payouts take about three to five business days, on average, to process into your bank account, and that available methods and timing can vary by where you live.

A current balance is not always instantly withdrawable. Eligibility, minimums, holds or method limits may apply—check Banking and Statements in your account. This guide does not state a dollar minimum or a country-by-country method list (those are not established in the Creator Center passages cited here).

You keep 80% after the 20% platform cut (Terms), before expenses and tax. Creators are responsible for their own tax affairs under the Terms—this guide is not tax advice.

Price, profile and first posts

For this account, choose a free page or a paid subscription and set it clearly. Describe what the fee (or free join) includes versus what costs extra.

Promote after the page is ready

Finish the checklist first. You do not need a large existing following to open a creator account—Creator Center welcomes that start—but you still need a way for people to find the page.
